I am totally blown away by the total acceptance of all women, and the support and feeling of community that is created at such a large event. Attending as a single person I still felt a part of everything, included and accepted. There was a broad selection of workshops so there were so many wonderful selections. It is a space that promotes wonder, growth, acceptance, creativity and connection. All the things that we need and are slowly being lost in our modern society. Love it.

I come to sistahood to be my pure ethnicity self. I do not have to hide who I am or act differently. Sistahood feels like coming home to the family where I am embraced and loved. The theme for Sistahood Rising 2025 doesn’t stop at Día de los Muertos. It celebrates a universal truth across cultures: honouring our ancestors, acknowledging the cyclical nature of life and death, and embracing the beauty of remembrance.
The timing of our event—aligning with Samhain, All Saints’ Day, and Día de los Muertos—underscores this shared heritage.
We celebrate culture as a bridge between us, not a wall. By doing so, we honour not only our bloodlines but the vast and beautiful diversity of human expression.
